Books have arrived to the children in Malawi

DAPP UK is very delighted to announce the wonderful news that the educational and children books have been distributed to the children in many pre-schools, primary shools, teacher training collages and health care centres around Blantyre, Malawi!!!

As our partner Ms Lisbeth Thomsen -Country Director of DAPP Malawi- wrote in her acknowledgement "The donation came at the time the Malawian community needed most. DAPP in Malawi works closely with the Malawi Government in improving quality education. This distribution of books will complement the efforts which are currently being undertaken by training qualified teachers for the rural areas in Malawi. Since the inception of free primary education in Malawi, the number of children enrolled increased three fold. As a result most schools have been faced with shortage of learning materials especially books for teaching and student references.

This kind gesture to the people of Malawi is a gesture to Malawi education sector and we hope this cooperation with you will continue. It is good to note that the educational books are of very good quality. They represent a high value and will have a big impact in the preschools, primary schools, teacher training collages and the vocational schools."
